Malvika is a Senior Researcher for the Tools, Practices and Systems research programme at The Alan Turing Institute, London. She leads the community management team that facilitates cross-community collaborations and promotes open research in data science at the Turing. She is a co-lead of The Turing Way, a community-led project that aims to make data science reproducible, collaborative, ethical and inclusive for researchers around the globe.
Malvika advocates for inclusive and collaborative community spaces to enable purposeful human-centred adoption of open research practices, tools and culture. She is a co-director of Open Life Science training and mentoring programme, a Software Sustainability Institute Fellow and participates in open research communities of Code for Science and Society, MetaDocencia, The Carpentries and Open Bioinformatics Foundation.
