Web Working Group

What we do

The Web working group is an extension of the Web&Infrastructure subgroup, and supports the subgroup in fulfilling its aims and objectives.

These include:

  • Create and deliver a web presence plan for the community.
  • Perform administration tasks related to the society website which currently includes:
    • Adding and removing site editors
    • Approve job postings
    • Approve and maintain listing of community resources
    • Regular update of WordPress and its plugins
  • Review and improve the user interface and user experience of the society website.
  • Review and improve the accessibility of the society website.
  • Review the need for additional contents and resources for the website, add and maintain them as required.
  • Work with the Communications and Publicity subgroup and working group on delivering parts of the  communications plan for our community that falls under the remit of this subgroup, for example:
  • Graphics/branding – Coordinate professional branding, graphics, creative PR materials etc
