2025 AGM Annoucnement

The Society will be holding it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September as part of RSECon25. The current trustees will give updates on our activites over the last 12 months and we will be announcing the results of our 2025 Trustee Elections (see below). There will also be an interactive Q&A conducted via Sli.do.

RSECon25

We’re making final preparations to welcome everyone to The 9th Annual Conference for Research Software Engineering, which is taking place at the University of Warwick from the 9th – 11th September.

  • In-person registration has now sold out, but remote access tickets are available until 31st August 2025. For more information and to register, please visit the conference website.

We look forward to seeing you, online or in person, in a few short weeks! If you can’t make it, then keep an eye out for recordings of all the talks, which will be posted on our YouTube page in the coming months.

Trustee Elections 2025

The 2025 Trustee elections are ongoing. Members will have received instructions on how to vote via email. We have 10 people standing for 9 vacancies, so we are holding a competitive, online election. The results will be announced at the AGM at RSECon25 in September.

  • Voting closes at midnight on Friday 22nd August 2025. Don’t delay, vote today!

Only Society members are eligible to vote, but everyone can read the candidate statements in this blog post.

As we continue to grow, we want to make sure that we continue to represent the interests of our members. So, we’re inviting everyone in this fantastic community to share their thoughts on how they engage with the community and membership benefits currently offered by the Society.

  • This blog post provides further information and includes the link to the survey.
