I run the Bristol RSE Group, which I proposed to set up for my fellowship “Sustainable RSE Careers for Sustainable Software”. This transformed RSE provision at Bristol through the establishment of a central group (now 7+ RSEs) who work on pooled projects and provide RSE training across the university. I was originally a Chemist, with my software (Sire) now developed as BioSimSpace and used commercially in the pharmaceutical industry as part of the Cresset Flare suite. My group now works across the entire remit of research at Bristol
