I went to university in Dresden and Berlin, Germany, to study Physics. I then did a PhD in experimental particle physics in Berlin. My first job (2014) was in Durham, IPPP, where I worked as RSE/PDRA on various physics simulation software. In 2017 I moved to the U.S. for a postdoc in scientific computing at Fermilab where I was working predominantly on the HPC aspect of particle physics simulations.

Since October 2020 I am now a PDRA/RSE in the computer science department in Durham, working on HPC software for generic wave equation solvers.
