Sam Mangham

I first got involved with the RSE movement at the first RSE conference in 2016 whilst doing my PhD, and joined the University of Southampton’s Research Software Group in 2018, where I’ve been ever since.

My background is with legacy HPC radiation physics codes, but I’m generalist in my role as an RSE – developing web platforms for the arts, software archaeology of ancient physics codes, and helping design machine learning pipelines. I’m also keen on developing and delivering training, community events, and help organise science outreach events for the general public!
