This role is suitable for someone who is enthusiastic about getting involved in a varied role but maybe doesn’t yet have experience of independently organising a conference of this size and complexity. The person in this role will work closely with the Logistics Chair to support them and help deliver the conference.
The role is very varied and would be involved in all things logistics. There is a whole range of interesting tasks that come up for the Logistics Chair and this role would be quite varied.
- Attend the fortnightly (weekly later on) online meetings with the committee as much as possible
- Work closely with the Logistics Chair on:
- Leading and supporting logistics team members
- Venue logistics – negotiating, booking, finalising
- Setup and maintenance of registration system
- Organising social events
- Organising supplies and merchandise
- Sending welcome emails and instructions
- Monitoring health & safety and completing risk assessments
