This role is suitable for someone who is enthusiastic about getting involved in a varied role but maybe doesn’t yet have experience of independently organising a conference of this size and complexity. The past Logistics Chair (who is still on the committee) will give constant support and advice and the Vice Chair would be expected to carry out the majority of the tasks. The person in this role will work closely with the Logistics Chair to deliver the conference.
The role is very varied and would be involved in all things logistics. There is a whole range of interesting tasks that come up for the Logistics Chair and this role would be quite varied.
- Attend the fortnightly (weekly later on) online meetings with the committee as much as possible
- Work closely with the Logistics Chair
- Get stuck in!
For the Logistics Chair to be able to focus on sponsorship, the Logistics Vice Chair will be a valuable and busy role. The Logistics Chair is also the Sponsorship Chair and sits within the steering group. See the diagram for clarity.
