Job Overview
LockedIn AI is looking for a talented Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the internal engineering platform that powers our products, AI systems, and development teams.
This is a high-impact role where you will build the foundation behind our cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, deployment systems, and scalable AI-powered services. You will help engineering teams move faster by creating reliable, secure, and efficient platforms that support millions of users.
The ideal candidate has strong cloud infrastructure experience, a deep understanding of DevOps practices, and a platform-as-a-product mindset.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Architecture
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Manage compute, networking, storage, IAM, databases, and serverless services.
Build and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure for production workloads.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Develop reliable systems that support AI workloads, product services, and internal engineering platforms.
CI/CD & Developer Experience
Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
Implement deployment strategies including canary releases, blue-green deployments, and automated rollbacks.
Create internal tools and automation that improve developer productivity.
Reduce operational complexity through better engineering workflows and platform solutions.
Observability & Reliability
Build monitoring and observability systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or OpenSearch.
Develop effective alerting systems and operational dashboards.
Improve debugging capabilities through logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
Monitor platform performance, reliability, and infrastructure health.
Security & Scalability
Implement infrastructure security best practices including access controls, encryption, secrets management, and audit logging.
Improve system reliability through automation, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
Develop scalable solutions for handling AI inference workloads and growing user demand.
Support security improvements across infrastructure and deployment processes.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with engineering, AI/ML, data, and security teams.
Document architecture decisions, operational processes, and platform standards.
Build a culture focused on developer experience and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Experience managing production cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Technical Skills
Strong programming skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages.
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and service orchestration.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
Understanding of deployment strategies and production reliability practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building AI/ML infrastructure, GPU workloads, or MLOps systems.
Experience with real-time systems, streaming platforms, or low-latency architectures.
Familiarity with developer portals and internal platform products.
Experience with chaos engineering and reliability testing.
Background in SaaS, career technology, or high-growth startups.
Open-source contributions or technical writing experience.
