Society AGM Report – 2025
On Wednesday 3rd September 2025, the Society of Research Software Engineering held our AGM at RSECon25 at the University of Warwick.
In this blog post, we summarise the key outcomes of the AGM, namely the standing down and election of members of the board of trustees. We have also included a recording of the meeting, along with the slides that were used.
Trustee Elections
Each year, a number of trustees must stand down and a new batch of trustees is elected.
This year, six trustees stood down:
- Mary Chester-Kadwell
- Fliss Guest
- Marion Weinzierl
- Abie Alexander-Ikuwe
- Godwin Yeboah
- Kirsty Pringle
Three trustees were re-elected:
- David Beavan
- Gillan Sinclair
- Martin O’Reilly
Six new trustees were elected:
- Iain Barrass
- William Haese-Hill
- Elena Breitmoser
- James Tyrrell
- Mark Basham
- Adrian Mircea Nenu
Annual Report
Each year, the Trustees produce an annual report on the Society and its activities over the last 12 months.
